Public Service Telephone Company is alerting the community to a vandalism incident that occurred shortly after midnight, November 12, 2025, on Hwy 80 near Running Deer Road in Roberta. Unknown individuals intentionally damaged our telecommunications cable, resulting in stolen copper and significant harm to our fiber infrastructure.

This type of vandalism is not only destructive, it is also a federal crime and a violation of state law to tamper with or damage communications equipment or facilities. Such actions put critical services at risk and disrupt essential connectivity for residents and businesses.

Despite the damage, Public Service Telephone Company crew worked swiftly, and all services were fully restored the same day. We remain committed to providing reliable communication services and appreciate the patience and support of our customers during this incident.
